In 2008 the Vancouver Police Department and the City of Vancouver began construction on a new LEED Gold Tactical Training Centre and Property & Forensic Storage Facility. The facility includes firing ranges, training areas, classrooms, administrative areas, building mechanical and electrical spaces, staff amenity rooms, forensic labs, properties storage and vehicle inspection bays. Cygnus was engaged by the project architect to develop signage and wayfinding standards for the entire site including interior and exterior spaces. Our work included the design and managed implementation of all elements throughout the facility. Cygnus staff worked closely with the Architect and Construction Manager and coordinated implementation with City and VPD site staff. Phases one and two have been successfully completed.
